Residents without power in the village of Hickson are invited to The East Zorra Tavistock Township office.
EAST ZORRA TAVISTOCK - A neighbourly gesture for the residents of Hickson who have been without power since yesterday afternoon.
The East Zorra Tavistock Township Office is opening their doors for residents who may have been left in the dark.
Emergency planner with East Zorra Tavistock Jennifer Albercht says they don't have internet connection, but they have power and they would like to share it.
"We do have hydro and we are trying to carry on business as usual, and we wanted to make sure our residents are aware of that, and they are welcome to come in, for a hot cup of coffee or tea and charge their phones as we recognize their is a need for people to recharge cell phones."
The hydro in Hickson is expected to be restored later this afternoon, possibly by 4 p.m.
The office will be open for residents to warm up or charge up, until 4:30 this afternoon, they are located at 90 Loveys St East in Hickson.
