WOODSTOCK - A 40 year old woman from Woodstock is facing impaired driving related charges, and she wasn't even driving.
Police say the found the woman early Friday morning passed out in the drivers seat of her Chevrolet Sonic in the area of Southside Park. The woman was charged with having care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired and care and control of a motor vehicle with over 80 mg of alcohol in her system.
Police are reminding drivers that the consequences of impaired driving are;
" Lose your licence
" Have your vehicle impounded
" Need to pay an administrative monetary penalty
" Need to attend an education or treatment program
" Be fined upon conviction
" Be required to install an ignition interlock device in your vehicle
" Spend time in jail
All drivers age 21 and under and novice drivers of any age cannot have any presence of alcohol in their blood while driving.
