WOODSTOCK - The city of Woodstock is going to continue to monitor a parking by-law, which will not allow people to park and stop in the school zones.
The issue was brought up during a city council meeting on November 14th, after there were complaints from residents who live near the Roch Carrier French Immersion School.
Mayor of Woodstock Trevor Birtch says they will continue to monitor the by-law.
"We'll keep it consistent at this point in time and make sure that we continue to communicate how important it is about child safety."
While city council will continue to monitor the by-law, Birtch says there are safer options for children who live nearby.
"If you're driving your children to school, it's more appropriate to stop where we have a city crossing guard, stop prior to that so they can get them across the street safely."
