Woodstock Police briefs include two robberies, a stolen vehicle, an assault, and more.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Police Service has charged two individuals in relation to an armed robbery on Henry Street.
It happened close to Burch Street on February 19th. Police were able to quickly arrest one of the suspects, but they had to pursue the other who was holding a machete at the time and threatening the officers. They were eventually arrested and officers seized the machete along with a sawed-off shotgun and other goods.
A 35-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman have been charged and they're both from Woodstock.
The man has been charged with robbery using a firearm, pointing a firearm, and two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order. They're also facing one count of failure to comply with a prohibition order.
The woman has been also been charged with robbery using a firearm and pointing a firearm, in addition to possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

WOODSTOCK - Three people have been charged after a robbery on Beachville Road in Woodstock.
Woodstock Police got the call shortly before 4:30 a.m. on February 17th and found out that someone had also been assaulted during the incident.
A 41-year-old was arrested about an hour later. Officers were also able to arrest a 33-year-old in the area of Norwich Avenue and Montclair Drive on February 22nd, and a 40-year-old on February 23rd.
They have each been charged with one count of robbery with violence. The 33-year-old and the 40-year-old also face one count of failure to comply with a prohibition order.

WOODSTOCK - Three youth are facing assault charges.
Woodstock Police responded yesterday (Thursday, February 29th) at 9:50 a.m. to reports of a fight in the Cromwell and Berwick Street area.
Upon investigation, it was determined three youth were assaulting another youth.
As a result, a 15 and 16-year-old from Woodstock have been charged with assault, and a 17-year-old from Thamesford is facing a robbery with violence charge.

WOODSTOCK - A 25-year-old from Brampton is facing a list of charges in the Friendly City.
This comes after the Woodstock Police Service responded to a suspicious person report on Alberni Road, close to Springbank Ave at around 5:50 a.m. on February 23rd.
Officers found the person passed out in a vehicle that was running at the time. They later discovered that the vehicle had been stolen in the Brantford area, and the licence plates had been stolen in the Niagara Region. The person was also impaired by drugs when the officers found them.
They have since been charged with operation while impaired by drugs and alcohol, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and operation while prohibited.

WOODSTOCK - Minor injuries were reported after Woodstock Police responded to an assault on Universal Road.
The call came in shortly before 11:30 p.m. on February 21st.
A 48-year-old from Ingersoll has been charged with one count of assault.

WOODSTOCK - A 38-year-old has been charged in a theft investigation in Woodstock.
It started on February 15th, when officers discovered that some construction equipment that was stolen back in October was listed for sale online.
After further investigation, the WPS was able to search a home on Frontenac Crescent, close to Marquette Drive, this past Tuesday.
A Woodstonian is now facing one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Police Service has recently charged a wanted man.
Officers arrested a 29-year-old from Blandford-Blenheim on February 24th because they were wanted in relation to a break and enter that happened on February 4th.
They're now facing one count of break and enter to commit an indictable offence.

WOODSTOCK - Two people have been charged after Woodstock Police officers pulled over a vehicle in the west end of the city.
They stopped it Vansittart Avenue, close to Dundas Street, shortly after 11:00 p.m. on February 19th.
Officers discovered that the passenger had fentanyl on them, so the 35-year-old is now facing one count of drug possession, and one count of failure to comply with undertaking.
The 47-year-old driver has been charged with driving a vehicle that did not have two licence plates.

WOODSTOCK - A Brampton resident has been busted for impaired driving in Woodstock.
Woodstock Police officers were called out to a parking lot on Norwich Ave, close to Montclair Drive and Juliana Drive, on the night of February 16th.
Someone hit a parked vehicle, and officers found the suspect vehicle running with the driver passed out inside it.
The 31-year-old has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs.
