Woodstock Police tipped their caps to their Auxiliary Unit on Thursday night. A dinner and awards ceremony was held at the Quality Hotel & Suites to recognize the dozen officers that assist with parades and other community events, RIDE programs, as well as ride alongs with officers to be an extra set of eyes, ears and hands. The unit logged a total of 2,639 hours in 2012. Here's a break down of their service: 985 hours of community events 1210 hours of general patrols 154 hours of administrative duties 290 hours of training Awards presented last night include: The Jeff Pincombe award recognizing the Auxiliary Officer who completes the most hours. 2012 recipient ? Graham Reeves (In photo on right with Police Chief Rod Freeman and Deputy Chief Daryl Longworth) Awards for Five Years of Service: Steve Gornyiczki Scott Morrison Jeff Barney Award for Ten years of Service: Deb Klemp Scott Morrison was also awarded, as he is leaving the unit after seven years of service.
