A global beauty pageant will feature a Woodstock resident representing the Philippines.
WOODSTOCK - An international beauty pageant will have Oxford County flair.
Dr. Grace Carbilledo Vincent, who lives in Woodstock has been chosen as the 2024 Mrs. Philippines contestant at the World Global International pageant in Dubai, starting September 11th. Carbilledo Vincent, who grew up in the Philippines was nominated by the Philippines Coordinator Kenneth Yamas. Vincent speaks to the reaction she had when called about the honour.
"I said, oh my God, I am too old for that. He said you belong to the category because what they are looking for is an empowered woman who has been involved with people's children."
She mentions being a part of pageants has been a passion for her while she was growing up.
"I was a sponsor for the beauty queens, actresses, and models. I usually do their teeth to give them beautiful smiles."
Being a dentist sponsor, her talent and her positive spirit made her an obvious candidate for this prestigious honour.
