The 20th World Crokinole Championships is happening today in Tavistock
TAVISTOCK - The World Crokinole Championship is celebrating it's 20th anniversary today.
Tavistock will be the host once again this year.
Nathan Walsh, Head of communications for the tournament explains that it should be a big year.
"So this year we were hoping to sort of have a banner year in terms of attendance and this year what makes it the most special is out of all 20 years we will have record attendance this year. The most players we have ever had at the World Crokinole Championships."
Though he could not reveal too much of the celebrations, he did reveal an aspect of it.
"I'll give you one thing. There is a slide show that's being shown this year and we asked registrants to contribute pictures that they had over the past 20 years."
The tournament has always pride itself on being a friendly tournament for families and new players.
