Woodstock Police were involved in an active investigation in the area of Upper Thames Drive between Pittock Park Road and Arthur Park Avenue.
UPDATE 3: On Friday, December 8, 2023 at approximately 12:05 p.m. the Woodstock Police Service arrested, 21-year-old Faek Aslhan of London, He is facing charges of kidnapping while using certain confined firearms and armed robbery.
Police are still looking to identify and locate two outstanding suspects in relation to this incident.
The first suspect has been described to police as a heavy set, black male, between the ages of 30-40, wearing gold chains around his neck, rings on all fingers, one gold with a red diamond, and has a deeper voice with an accent.
The second suspect is described a black male, with braided hair, and a Middle Eastern accent.
The outstanding suspect vehicles are believed to be an orange Kia Seltos and a black sedan – possibly a Mercedes.

UPDATE 2: Five are in custody for an armed robbery and kidnapping investigation.
Yesterday (Thursday, October 5th), around 2:00 p.m., the Woodstock Police Service responded to reports of a weapons related incident.
Earlier in the day around 10:50 a.m. it was determined a 15-year-old boy was kidnapped after a white Chevy Equinox approached him, while he was walking southbound on Fyfe Avenue near Pavey Street.
The people inside the vehicle began talking to the boy, when one suspect left, grabbed, and threw him into the back seat.
After the boy was in the Equinox, they drove to the area of Upper Thames Drive and met up with additional suspects in a red/orange SUV. The suspects stole a vehicle from the victim’s residence then left the victim in a field on the 43rd Line near Oxford Road 17.
The victim was transported to hospital for assessment.
Also yesterday, Middlesex OPP recovered the stolen vehicle and arrested the driver. As a result, 21-year-old Edmonton, Alberta resident Yakub Ali Abdi was arrested and is facing charges of; Armed robbery, Firearm – use while committing offence, Kidnapping while using certain firearms – confined, Two counts of assault with a weapon, Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm, Break, enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence, Theft over $5000, Theft over $5000 of a motor vehicle, and Two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.
Abdi has been remanded into custody.
Today (Friday, October 6th), Dryden OPP arrested four more suspects in the Equinox. Additional charges and information about the four accused in custody will be released when available.
Two suspects and the red/orange SUV remain outstanding at this time.
If you have information about the suspects’ identity or location, please do not approach them and immediately contact local police.
At this time, there is no evidence to indicate this was a targeted attack however the investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE 1: Woodstock Police say a 21-year-old man was arrested in relation to a weapons investigation, which is still ongoing at this time.
He remains in custody and the Oxford OPP was also called in to assist yesterday (Thursday, October 5th).
No further details have been released at this time.

WOODSTOCK - There was an active investigation in the City.
Woodstock Police were in the area of Upper Thames Driver between Pittock Park Road and Arthur Parker Avenue this afternoon (Thursday, October 5th).
A hold and secure notice was issued, but that has since been removed as of 2:50 p.m.
There could still be heavy police presence in the area, but they are advising the public there is nore concern for safety at this time.
More information will be released once it becomes available.
