WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Police Service is sending out a warning after receiving multiple reports of grandparent scams in the city.
Most recently, the scam involves a person calling the victim claiming to be a family member who has been arrested and needs money for bail. Some of these calls are from people claiming to be Woodstock Police Officers.
Police are reminding the public that an officer would never call and demand money over the phone.
