Project Steel is a nationwide child pornography investigation.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Police Service seized multiple electronic devices and an illegal firearm while conducting search warrants related to a national child pornography investigation.
The RCMP announced yesterday that more than 100 people have been arrested and more than 300 charges have been laid nationwide in relation to Project Steel. It also said dozens of victims were identified and 37 children have been safeguarded from harm.
Woodstock Police officers conducted their search warrants last Monday and Tuesday but nothing has been said regarding local arrests or charges laid. The local investigation is still ongoing at this time.
