
Top honours at the 9th Annual Oxford Invitational Youth Robotics Challenge went to Dorchester.
WOODSTOCK - The Oxford Invitational Youth Robotics Challenge was held in Woodstock Tuesday afternoon.
Twenty teams from eighteen schools participated in the event where students were challenged to assemble a robot that can manoeuvre around a track while identifying colours and dropping the correct colour part into a station.
This year's top honour went to the Beavertronics of Lord Dorchester Secondary School.
Each team has a sponsor and mentor from a local business/manufacturer. The Beavertronics were sponsored by Execulink Telecom and have Michael Keenan as their mentor.
The winning team receives a platinum award level -- there is also gold, silver and bronze. The teams are judged and graded on the piece they created and how affective it is.

Waterloo Oxford District Secondary School - Troll Bots
